The old festival of Hocktide falls on the second Monday and Tuesday after Easter from the "All the Wilde-heds of the parish" exhibition notes of the history of Morris dancing in Kingston.
TVM do not follow these dates exactly, mostly resorting to dancing on a nearby weekend and sometimes combining this with an Ale. They have traditionally danced at the Kingston Parish church as part of the day since their first Hocktide dance in 1961 to collect for the rehanging of the bells - this revived a long link between the Parish Church and the Morris in Kingston.
