Webfeet : Graphical Usage Statistics

Statistics:

• Monthly downloads - Most interest in the Eceilidh information, followed by the map and festivals details.
• Cumulative downloads

These Java charts show the development of use of the Webfeet information over time. The X-axis shows a count of the months since the statistics were started (so far as just a count rather than as labelled months).

The first graph will take a while to download (as it will start downloading the Javachart applet), other graphs will be a lot faster.

'Spurious' hits have been ignored where possible and the last, or current, month shows the hits to date so it will look low most of the time.

Breakdown:

• Balance of download/cache refresh requests - 90% of hits are to get new pages, 10% are 'revisits' and the pagtes are already in the broswer's cache.
• Details of Frames usage - Very, very few people switch to frames to help them find their way round the site.
• Balance of HTML page/image downloads - Most traffic is HTML, not that many images downloaded.
• Details of HTTP version used - Gradually the newer and more efficient form of the HTTP protocol is being used.
• Breakdown of information requested (diary, index, map, page) - Most people check the reviews/details, a growing number use the indexes (as more information is held elsewhere), more people are using the map and fewer the national events lists.
• Breakdown by browser - Recent figures
• Breakdown by OS - Recent figures
